In this role, you will help create and lead engaging activities that enhance the quality of life, social engagement, and emotional well-being of our residents. Position Details

• Position: Activity Assistant
• Status: Part-Time
• Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
• Location: Medical Hill Healthcare Center

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and facilitating recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities for residents.
• Encourage resident participation and engagement in scheduled programs.
• Set up and clean up activity areas before and after events.
• Escort residents to and from activities as needed.
• Support holiday celebrations, special events, and community outings.
• Maintain activity supplies and equipment.
• Document resident attendance and participation.
• Foster a positive, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience working with seniors, healthcare, recreation, or activities programs is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality.
• Ability to assist residents with varying levels of mobility and cognitive function.
