Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Mortgage Loan Officer role based in Dearborn, MI, with a mix of in-office and work-from-home days. The Mortgage Loan Officer will consult with prospective borrowers to understand their financial goals, explain available mortgage products, and guide them through the application process from initial inquiry to closing. Daily responsibilities include prospecting and building a pipeline of clients and referral partners, collecting and reviewing borrower documentation, and preparing complete, accurate loan files. The role partners closely with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to ensure timely approvals, resolve conditions, and deliver a smooth client experience. The Mortgage Loan Officer will also monitor market and rate changes, maintain compliance with lending regulations, and provide ongoing customer service to both new and existing clients. Qualifications Experience working as a Loan Officer or in a comparable mortgage sales role, with a track record of originating and managing residential mortgage loans. Knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and Mortgage Lending practices, including familiarity with loan products, interest rate structures, and regulatory requirements. Understanding of basic Underwriting concepts, including income, credit, and collateral evaluation, and the ability to prepare clean, complete files for review. Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly, manage expectations, and maintain long‑term client relationships. Active or eligible state mortgage loan originator license (NMLS), or willingness to obtain licensing as required. Comfort with CRM and loan origination systems, as well as standard office software for documentation and communication. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing time and priorities across in-office and remote workdays.
