Certified Speech Language Therapist

This is a meaningful, community‑embedded role serving Native American students with speech and language needs in a small, close‑knit school environment. What you’ll do Provide speech‑language therapy services to approximately 13 students (1:1 and small group settings) Conduct screenings, standardized evaluations, and audiometric assessments Draft IEP sections including evaluation summaries, present levels, annual goals, and quarterly progress reports Attend and actively participate in IEP team meetings Collaborate with teachers and specialists to support student success in the general education classroom Maintain compliance with IDEA timelines, including 60‑day evaluation windows Develop exit plans for students who have received services over multiple years Schedule 15–20 hrs/week Mon–Fri 8:00am–4:30pm Start date Sept 9, 2026 Contract length Up to 5 years total Requirements Active New Mexico Speech‑Language Therapist license (required) Degree from an accredited institution in Speech‑Language Pathology or Communication Sciences Experience providing services in a K–12 school setting Ability to pass a federal background investigation Preferred Qualifications Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) Experience working with Native American students and/or in Indigenous community schools Familiarity with IDEA, IEP processes, and special education compliance requirements Knowledge of or experience with Pueblo communities in Northern New Mexico Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus What We Provide Competitive hourly rate Computer and system access provided by the school after background clearance Long‑term engagement — the school values consistency and continuity for its students The opportunity to make a lasting difference in a unique, culturally rich community #J-18808-Ljbffr
