Azure Architect With Dot Net Experience

The job is for an Azure Architect with Dot Net experience at the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). Requires in-person interviews and on-site work for up to 3 days per week. The position is a contract role, potentially extending for 24 months. The contractor will need to arrange for their own parking.

The Azure Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions within the Microsoft Azure cloud ecosystem. The job involves designing and planning cloud infrastructure, including computing resources, storage, networking, and security components. The candidate will work with other teams to design cloud-native applications and migrate existing applications to the cloud. Responsibilities also include implementing security measures to safeguard data and applications in the cloud.

Minimum qualifications include hands-on experience in design, development, and testing.NET solutions within both on-premise and cloud environments, experience with Microservices architecture, Azure Architecture, Domain driven architecture, and experience working in agile methodology. Preferred qualifications include strong knowledge of implementing hybrid connectivity between Azure and on-premise systems, strong scripting skills in Python, and experience working with Azure Data factory, Azure Data Lake, and developing Power BI reports.
