Job Details Specialty: Cardiac Stepdown / PCU Employment Type: Travel Nursing Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210 Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts Shift Duration: 12 hours Shifts per Week: 3 Hours per Week: 36 Contract Length: 16 weeks Orientation: 72 hours Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics Charting System: Epic Float Requirement: May float to other acute care oncology units within scope of practice Job Requirements Active RN license in hand at time of submission Minimum 2 years of total acute care nursing experience At least 1 year of PCU / stepdown experience Current acute care experience required Experience with mixed-acuity med-surg and stepdown patients preferred ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required Experience with Epic charting required Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a busy clinical environment Responsibilities Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to stepdown and PCU patients Monitor and manage patients with complex surgical oncology and cardiac-related needs Administer chemotherapy, IV antibiotics, blood transfusions, insulin drips, and heparin drips as indicated Support care for patients experiencing oncologic emergencies and cytokine release syndrome Perform cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias Manage chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP support, tracheostomy care, and related respiratory needs within scope Maintain a strong focus on infection prevention and fall prevention practices Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care Adapt to a fast-paced acute care unit where priorities may change based on census and staffing needs Apply now to join this Columbus, Ohio healthcare team and take the next step in your travel RN career.
