Role Description The Director of Engineering is a full-time, on-site role based in San Jose, CA. This position leads multiple engineering teams, sets technical direction, and ensures delivery of high-quality software solutions that support DMI Finance's products and internal platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing software development projects, defining architecture and integration plans, managing engineering roadmaps, and coordinating with product, operations, and compliance stakeholders. The Director of Engineering will establish best practices for code quality, security, and reliability, while optimizing processes for planning, estimation, and release management. This role also focuses on mentoring engineering managers and individual contributors, building a high-performance culture, and aligning engineering priorities with business objectives.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Engineering Management and Team Leadership skills, with experience guiding and scaling diverse engineering teams.
• Candidates should possess hands-on Software Development expertise, including familiarity with modern languages, frameworks, and system architecture.
• Candidates should possess solid Project Management skills, including planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Candidates should possess experience with Integration, including designing and implementing APIs, third-party system connectivity, and data flows.
• Proven experience in senior engineering leadership roles within technology-driven or financial services organizations.
• Strong background in building secure, reliable, and scalable platforms; experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices is beneficial.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and make data-informed decisions. xhyhwjd
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
