Schedule: Full Time Texas Rehabilitation of Plano is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. The new 40‑bed inpatient rehabilitation facility will open in 2026. The facility will provide evidence‑based, transformational care for a wide variety of patients. How you’ll contribute Assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of patients being treated by Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, rehabilitation technicians, and occupational therapy students; may orient staff and students and assume supervisory duties in the absence of the assigned supervisor. Assesses patients’ needs, identifies and initiates appropriate occupational therapy interventions, and works cooperatively with other team personnel to maintain professional practice standards and interdisciplinary teamwork. Observes and evaluates treatment effect, accomplishment of short‑ and long‑term goals, and recommends changes to physicians when needed. Performs assessments and reassessments for each patient, records accurate and timely QI scoring; focuses on adults and geriatric patients in an adult medical rehabilitation program. Assesses pain that interferes with optimal function, implements interventions to reduce pain, and contacts physicians for further intervention when appropriate. Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health‑care errors. Reports patient progress and discharge barriers at each patient team conference. Performs other duties as assigned. What we’re looking for Education: Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state where the hospital is located. Experience: Previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy preferred, but not required. Additional Requirements: Current CPR/BLS certification.
