Youth Prevention Specialist

Entry-Level Position Focused On Youth ServicesThis is an entry-level position focused on providing quality, youth-centered services that support the healthy development and overall well-being of youth. Services are provided in schools and other community settings and include outreach, group facilitation, program development, and evaluation, including data management. Position will also involve project management and support of community wide system based projects. Positive outcomes are achieved through purposeful and respectful relationships rooted in trauma-informed care, hope, and evidence-based research. An openness to embrace and explore bias, equity issues, successes, and challenges from a place of understanding and curiosity is needed to succeed and develop in the position/organization.Position RequirementsBachelor's degree in Social work or related fieldValid driver's license and a clean driving record requiredKnowledge and understanding of Newaygo County community resourcesExperiences leading groupsCertified prevention specialist or willingness to achieve certification requiredOther Key Skill: a strong ability to work independently and move projects forward without constant oversight is required.We recognize that candidates may have unique skills and experiences that are not always reflected in a job description.
