Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room, ensuring timely and effective treatment during critical periods. Supervises nursing staff and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality emergency care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status promptly upon arrival to determine priority of care.
• Develop and implement individualized emergency care plans based on patient needs and condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate coordinated treatment.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition with appropriate interventions.
• Educate patients and their families about emergency procedures, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Supervise and delegate duties to nursing staff in compliance with facility protocols and standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess at least two years of recent experience in emergency or acute care settings.
• Maintain current BLS certification; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are required.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and quick decision-making abilities.
• Be proficient in emergency assessment skills and trauma protocols.
• Hold certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and STABLE per facility requirements.
