Opportunity:

Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology

Job Details:

• Seeking two full-time, long-term locum providers


• Monday through Friday office hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM


• Possible travel two days per week to an outlying office approximately 30 minutes from the main campus for office hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (not required for all providers)


• Daily hospital rounds and consults on assigned weeks


• Weekend hospital rounds and consults on assigned weekends, approximately 4 hours per day of onsite work on Saturdays and Sundays


• Oversight of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)


• After-hours call coverage required to address clinic critical values or urgent patient matters; no requirement to return in person to clinic or hospital


• Consulting service only, no hospital admissions


• Practice recently relocated to a modern building housing a number of medical practices and services


• Full spectrum of cancer care offered including a nurse navigator program, multiple tumor boards, and nearby radiation oncology


• Staffing includes 6 infusion RNs for 16 chairs, 3 RN navigators, 2 RN oral chemo navigators, 1 inpatient APP, 1 outpatient APP, and 3 MOAs


• Patient encounters per shift: 12-15


• Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist required


• Active PA license or IMLC with Letter of Qualification in hand required


• Locum-to-permanent candidates highly favored
