Role Overview Provides surgical technology to support both direct and indirect patient care during operative procedures. Assists surgeons, prepares instruments and equipment, and ensures a sterile environment. Acts as a resource, trains new technologists and students, and mentors peers to improve team performance. Responsibilities Include Preparing accurate, timely setup for surgeries, including instruments, equipment, and supplies. Setting up sterile fields and assisting during procedures across various specialties. Anticipating intraoperative needs, managing unexpected events calmly, and providing appropriate interventions. Collaborating with surgical team, communicating effectively, and mentoring staff and students. Participating in on-call duties, ensuring readiness for emergencies and high-risk cases. Contributing to quality improvement and maintaining a positive team environment. Qualifications Associate's degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days. Open to new graduates with relevant training. Skills & Attributes Proficiency in scrubbing, assisting, and case management.
