The Accounting Associate supports key accounting functions, including accounts payable, vendor management, financial recordkeeping, and general administrative support. - Review, code, and process invoices and check requests.
- Distribute accounts payable checks and respond to vendor inquiries.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate vendor records, including tax reporting information and contact details.
- Ensure tax-exempt documentation is current and provided to vendors as needed.
- Organize and maintain accounts payable files and records.
- Assist with annual audits and other accounting functions.
- Review financial documents for accuracy and compliance with agency procedures.
- Support year-end processing, including 1099 preparation and filing.
- Assist employees with accounting-related questions
- Associate or bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of accounting-related experience, or
- High School Diploma/GED with 3-5 years of accounting-related experience.
- Experience with MIP accounting software (formerly Abila MIP) preferred
