HMC Gears is growing, and we are looking for a qualified Manufacturing Technician!

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Technician supports production operations across both the machine shop and weld shop (P&H). This cross-functional role is responsible for machine setup, part finishing, material handling, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Technicians are trained to work in both areas and may be assigned based on production needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up machines using work orders, blueprints, and engineering specifications
• Install and adjust tooling, chucks, and fixtures
• Perform finishing processes including deburring, sandblasting, shot peening, and painting
• Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts or overhead cranes
• Package parts for shipment and maintain material flow between departments
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop and work areas
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and report issues as needed
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures
• Document production activities and communicate effectively between shifts

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
• CNC or machine setup experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks (bending, reaching, lifting)

Work Environment

Manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, noise, temperature changes, and airborne particles.
