Adolescent Health Program Coordinator Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the statewide Adolescent Health Strategic Plan, ensuring alignment with state and federal priorities.

• Program Leadership: Provide statewide leadership for initiatives promoting healthy youth development, suicide prevention, and positive health outcomes.

• Initiative Coordination: Oversee specific statewide programs, including suicide prevention frameworks, youth leadership councils, and community-based health initiatives.

• Youth Engagement: Coordinate adolescent engagement strategies, such as advisory and focus groups, ensuring youth perspectives are integrated into program planning.

• Partnership Building: Build and sustain strong collaborations with schools, healthcare providers, community organizations, and youth-serving agencies.

• Grant & Performance Management: Monitor program performance, analyze data, manage grant activities, and develop required state and federal reports.

• Technical Assistance: Provide training, consultation, and technical assistance to internal and external partners on adolescent health best practices.

• Representation: Represent the program on statewide and national committees, workgroups, and conferences.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education, Social Work, Behavioral Science, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in adolescent health, public health, program management, or strategic planning. State government or grant management experience is a plus.

• Skills: Strong written/verbal communication, project management, public speaking, facilitation, data analysis, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
