About the Position

Job Title: CT Tech Profession: Clinical-Allied Specialty: CT Technology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: First Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday; call/weekends/holidays required) Experience: Minimum of three years of experience, including one year of mammography diagnostic experience. License: Current American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Registry in Radiography RT(R). Certifications: BLS, Current Commonwealth Clienttion License. ARRT (CT) preferred. Must-Have: Excellent customer service and communication skills. Description: Provides health care services applying pulsed x-ray energy to assist diagnosis or treatment. Performs CT procedures, computer processing, and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Recognizes various patient conditions to provide appropriate patient care, ensuring successful completion of the exam or procedure. Maintains a cohesive working relationship and spirit of cooperation with coworkers and other employees. Sets a positive example for staff through professional knowledge, appearance, personal conduct, and interactions. Follows hospital policies and guideline recommendations. Plans and executes daily patient flow and staff schedule proactively. Assists with staff selection, training, and competency. Provides supervision and instruction to imaging students on clinical rotation. Produces quality images for review and prepares copies for image release. Verifies images archived to PACS and notifies the administrator of any issues. Participates in image peer review and works on accreditation as needed. Completes quality control on equipment and reports any malfunctions. Manages physical and financial resources within established guidelines. Verifies orders and patient identification. Documents all incidents related to patient care in the electronic health record. Performs venipuncture when necessary for exams. Continuously monitors the patient throughout the exam and utilizes radiation protection. Adjusts exam protocols for pediatric patients in accordance with standards. Assists authorized providers with exams/procedures as necessary. Maintains the highest standards of customer service and communication in all interactions. Demonstrates outstanding eye-hand coordination and attention to detail. Fosters a cooperative work environment, valuing differences among colleagues.
