The desired schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.Our Phlebotomists play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and are responsible for collecting and processing blood specimens from patients for laboratory testing.Essential Functions:-Obtains quality blood samples using a variety of phlebotomy methods for all age groups.-Ensures accurate patient identification, quality specimen labeling, processing, handling, and transportation ofspecimens.-Communicates effectively with patients and patient care teams, explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.-Handles sharps and biohazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements to ensure the safety of patients and staff.-Works fluently with computer programs and systems, and complies with HIPAA regulations.-Performs other test administration and specimen collection as assigned-Performs other duties as assigned-Complies with all policies and standardsQualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or Equivalent requiredCompletion of a phlebotomy course preferredAdditional Job Details (if applicable)At Mass General Brigham, our employees are our most important resource.
