Unit Information

Location: Miami, FL

• Number of Beds: 29 beds
• Staff Composition: Varies based on volume, typically includes 1 Charge RN, 2-3 RNs, 2 Techs, and a clinical coordinator
• Day Shift Staff: 1 Charge RN, 2-3 RNs, 2 Techs, and a clinical coordinator
• Night Shift Staff: 1 Charge RN, 2-3 RNs, 2 Techs, and a clinical coordinator
• Patient Ratios: 3:1
• Type of Equipment: X-rays, preoperative, anesthesiologist, lab, electrocardiography, EKG
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

Role Responsibilities

• Conduct observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care.
• Scrub and circulate for all service lines in the operating room.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements:
• ACLS, BLS certifications
• 2 years of current experience in an acute OR setting
• Experience with orthopedic procedures, specifically knee and hip replacements
• Preferred Qualifications:
• PALS certification
• CNOR certification
• Charge nurse experience

Dress Code

• Scrub Colors: Navy blue or Royal blue are acceptable. Surgical-type scrubs are not permitted.

Unit Guidelines

• Must be able to scrub and circulate for all service lines.
• Rotating weekend shifts may be required.
