Custodian

Description: Performs janitorial duties, involving heavy manual work, where it is necessary to operate manual and power cleaning equipment; performs hand sweeping, cleaning, dusting, waxing, polishing, mopping, scrubbing and related duties; sweeps outside, factory and office areas; empties waste baskets and trays; places sweepings and trash in carts and receptacles; hand or mechanically scrubs, mops, washes and dries floors, woodwork and furniture; cleans carpets, carpeting, and rugs with brooms, brushes, sweepers, extractors, and vacuum cleaners; hand polishes and waxes office furniture, floors, linoleum and woodwork; washes and polishes windows where use of safety belts is not necessary; cleans drinking fountains and lavatories; replenishes supplies such as soap, towels, drinking cups, disinfectants and sanitary napkins; maintains good housekeeping in office, factory and ground areas; does simple gardening as required.

Standing: Requires full time standing with limited resting periods and to walk Distances. Sit for extended periods if required.

Heights: Able to work at heights. Able to climb stairs or ladders as required. Able to work off of step stools, scissor lifts, lift platforms and aircraft structure without handrails.

Overhead work: Able to work overhead as required.
Weight restriction: Able to Lift/push/pull/carry a minimum of 75 lbs.

Body positioning: Able to twist/bend (neck or waist) and stoop. Able to work in awkward positions as required. Able to squat/kneel/crawl/reach as required.

Work content: Able to use/hold/manipulate small tools and parts with hands. Simple grasping, power grasping and fine manipulation is required. Able to use vibrating tools and perform torquing operations. Able to use power equipment. Repetitive tasks will be performed. Able to use computer keyboard, mouse and monitor for extended periods of time.

Vision/Hearing: High level Hand/Eye coordination required. Corrective lenses may be used. Eye protection required in many instances. Color differentiation may be required. Must be able to hear at level required for positions.

Environmental: Able to work around noise, chemicals, fumes and dust. Capable of using respirators and other personal protective equipment including hearing protection if required. Will be required to work in temperature extremes as needed.

Able to work outside if needed.

Attendance: Regular attendance required based on set work schedule.


Vehicles/Power moving equipment: Must have a valid/current DMV issued driver's license. Able to operate as required. Able to work around heavy equipment or machinery.

Basic Qualifications:
Six months combined custodial, sanitation and/or heavy industrial cleaning experience.

Experience operating floor stripping, waxing and polishing tools and equipment.

Current DMV issued Driver's License
Desired Skills:
Experience with restroom cleaning techniques.

Experience with commercial cleaning chemicals.

Knowledge of Sanitation processes.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off

The base range for this position in California is $21.42 - $33.64.
