Customs Entry Writer

Global freight forwarding leader is seeking a Customs Entry Writer for their branch in Monterey Park, CA! Licensing is not required for this opportunity; however, we would like someone with about 2 years of experience with customs entries.
This is a full time opportunity with benefits and room for continued growth. Schedule:Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for day-to-day operations relating to the handling and customs clearance of international shipments
- Classification of shipments and preparation of entry
- Knowledge of FDA filing and other PGA's and familiar with CBP regulations
- Work closely and in conjunction with the Brokerage/ Branch / Compliance Manager to ensure efficiency in all processes within the company and department
- Communicate with US Customs officials and other government agencies as deemed necessary
- Schedule pickups and deliveries on the brokerage only files
- Respond to internal and external (customer) requests
- Enter shipment and billing data into operational systems
- Assist with payment requests and customer billing as needed
- Demonstrated stress tolerance and flexibility to changing priorities
- Prepare and post PSC
- 2-4 years Customs Brokerage import experience with an extensive and broad range of commodities
- Familiarity with ADD/ CVD, FDA, EPA, F & W, CBMA, FAA, TTB
- Intermediate MS Office Skills
