We are looking for a dependable Accounting Manager to lead core accounting functions in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, guiding the close cycle, and delivering reliable reporting that supports business decisions. The Accounting Manager will also provide direction to team members, strengthen internal controls, and contribute to ongoing improvements across accounting processes. Responsibilities:

• Direct day-to-day accounting operations and coordinate timely completion of month-end closing activities.

• Examine journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Prepare and review financial reports to provide clear and dependable information for leadership.

• Oversee and support accounting staff through coaching, workload coordination, and performance development.

• Partner with internal and external auditors by organizing documentation and responding to audit-related requests.

• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory reporting activities as needed.

• Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal control practices.

• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and expand the use of automation within accounting.

• Assist with cross-functional initiatives, special assignments, and departmental planning while serving as a backup resource for leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior leadership or team oversight experience is preferred.
• CPA certification, or active progress toward completion, is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of month-end close, general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
• Experience supporting financial statement audits and preparing related documentation.
• Advanced analytical, communication, and Excel skills, with the ability to learn accounting systems quickly.
• Proven ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
