Psychiatry Physician Assistant

Acommunity-based behavioral health organization serving the Worcester and Auburnareas is seeking a Locums Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantto join its Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) team. Thisopportunity offers a flexible part-time schedule and the chance to providecomprehensive psychiatric care to individuals with serious and persistentmental illness in both office and community settings.

Theprovider will work closely with a multidisciplinary team under the supervisionof the Medical Director, delivering medication management and psychiatricservices to high-acuity patients living in the community.

Compensation: $110 Per Hour

PositionDetails

• Schedule : 4-5 days per week
• Hours: Approximately 24 hours per week
• EMR: CareLogic

ClinicalResponsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management
• Assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with serious mental illness
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust medication regimens as appropriate
• Collaborate with social workers, nurses, therapists, case managers, and other members of the PACT team
• Participate in treatment planning and care coordination meetings
• Conduct community outreach visits and office-based patient encounters
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within CareLogic
• Support crisis intervention and stabilization efforts as needed

PatientVolume

• Program census of approximately 80 clients
• Weekly patient encounters vary based on acuity, transitions of care, and medication management needs
• Some weeks may involve 25 patient contacts, while others may require 10 or fewer

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Active Massachusetts license required
• Active DEA registration required
• Active Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) required
• Experience in Psychiatry, Behavioral Health, Community Mental Health, or Serious Mental Illness populations preferred
