Required Qualifications

• Active RN License
• BLS & ACLS
• Minimum 2 years Critical Care/ICU experience
• Previous Travel Experience Required
• Strong experience with:
  • Ventilator management
  • Hemodynamic monitoring
  • Critical care drips
  • Sepsis, Acute MI, Renal patients
• Must be comfortable titrating drips

Preferred Skills/Certifications

• CRRT
• IABP
• Impella
• PALS
• NIHSS
• TNCC

Patient Population

• Sepsis
• Acute MI
• Stroke/TIA
• Seizures
• ARDS
• Post-vascular procedures
• Renal patients
• Ventilator-dependent patients
• Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients

Critical Care Skills Required

• Vasopressor and sedation drips
• Mechanical ventilation (ETT & Trach)
• BiPAP/CPAP
• Telemetry interpretation
• Hemodynamic monitoring

Common Drips

• Levophed
• Cardizem
• Amiodarone
• Heparin
• Insulin

Scheduling

• Days: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Block scheduling available (especially nights)
• Every other weekend
• Holiday rotation required

Floating

• Stepdown Unit
• Med-Surg/Telemetry (rare)
• ICU/Stepdown patients boarded in ED
• If floated to Med-Surg, may take a full assignment of 5–6 patients

Unit Support

• Charge Nurse primarily without assignment
• House Supervisor 24/7
• Hospitalist 24/7
• RT available 24/7
