Production Operator

The Production Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently handling liquid and dry chemical products, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance throughout all warehouse and transfer operations. This hands-on role involves mixing and blending chemicals, loading and unloading trucks, tankers, and railcars; operating forklifts and other industrial equipment; repackaging and labeling materials; and maintaining precise inventory records. No two days are the same; you will work with a variety of products, equipment, and processes in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail truly matters. General

• Mixing/Blending/Manufacturing
• Receive/unload and prepare/load liquid and dry chemical products from/to trucks, tankers, and railcars.
• Operation of powered and manual industrial lift trucks (with certification) to transport product in the warehouse.
• Repackage product into proper containers for storage or shipment.
• Responsibility for inventory
• General Maintenance
• Other duties as assigned, including general warehouse duties as required

Education and Experience

• High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or US military experience.
• Possess or able to pass exam to obtain Forklift Operators certification and demonstrate ability to operate a forklift safely.
• Ability to read, comprehend and carry out detailed and simple instructions in English and write simple correspondence.
• Ability to learn and operate technology-based devices to carry out normal business operations.

• Meet or exceed production requirements based on information and or equipment used in the course of work performance
• Wear safety equipment as prescribed by company
• Comply with placarding rules when loading or unloading trucks

Other Job Requirements

• Participate in ongoing safety program including safety meetings and trainings
• Must be available to work any days of the week, any assigned 8-12 hour shift
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed
• Good safety and attendance record
• Ability to work cooperatively with other departments and personnel
• Observe, follow and enforce all company policies and procedures
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Must pass E-verify check
• Must be capable of attaining a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) card for participating MTSA facilities within Brenntag. Only applicable to MTSA sites.
• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

• Able to pass company physical and all training requirements, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment, which may include a respirator.
• Able to perform all functions of loading, unloading, packaging, stacking, palletizing, storage, and movement of material
• Able to utilize tools and equipment as necessary to perform job tasks
• Standing and walking for long periods of time, up to 95% of day
• Must be able to operate standing & sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks and drum pickers.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders to the top of tanks, tankers and rail cars
• Frequently exposed to outside weather (from 10% to 75% of the time) sometimes in extreme weather conditions
