Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited educational program.
• Active Virginia PTA license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Outpatient clinic experience preferred.
• Experience with common outpatient modalities and interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait training with assistive devices, balance and coordination training, ultrasound, paraffin, and hot/cold modalities preferred.
• Ability to document patient progress and follow established treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months of recent PTA experience preferred.
• Experience instructing patients and families in safe body mechanics and equipment use preferred.
• Familiarity with clinic safety practices and infection control preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: 5x8.
• Typical schedule: Monday 6:3012:30; Tuesday/Thursday 9:0019:00; Wednesday 6:3015:00; Friday 7:0015:30.
• Outpatient clinic setting.
• Candidate may be expected to follow site guidelines for appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
