Job Description
Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (RN) We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac care, specifically within a high-acuity setting. Job Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, with a focus on cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries.
- Utilize advanced medical equipment, including intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella devices, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and epicardial pacemakers.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor patients' conditions, administer medications, and perform assessments to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and post-operative care.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an Intensive Care Unit, preferably with a focus on cardiac care.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification is preferred.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification is a plus.
