Our organization, in collaboration with a prominent university's Department of Medicine and Department of Dermatology, is on the lookout for a committed, full-time Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Dermatologist. This role is dedicated to providing outstanding care for our nation's Veterans—true heroes of America.

Position Highlights:

• Academic Role: Successful applicants will receive a full-time faculty position at the university, with the rank of Associate or Full Professor, depending on their experience.
• Comprehensive Dermatology Care: Provide both outpatient and inpatient services, including phototherapy, patch testing, specialized and general dermatologic surgery, general dermatology, and tele-dermatology.
• Collaborative Environment: Collaborate closely with primary care teams and contribute to clinical education and training as necessary.
• Innovative Care Approaches: Engage in electronic consultations (e-Consults) and participate in the Specialty Care Access Network-Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (SCAN-ECHO) to enhance dermatology access and promote specialty education.
• State-of-the-Art Facilities: Work at a Joint Commission-accredited, high-complexity (Level 1b) referral center with 459 beds, serving thousands of Veterans in the Pacific Northwest.

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with potential evening or weekend coverage as needed.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (non-U.S. citizens may be considered)
• Must hold a current, full, and unrestricted medical or surgical license in the U.S.
• Board Certification in Dermatology is preferred; Board Eligibility will be considered.

About Our Community: With primary locations in Seattle and Tacoma (American Lake), our organization is the largest and most comprehensive VA facility in the area, catering to Veterans from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska. We offer nationally recognized programs in spinal cord injury, bone marrow transplant, deployment health, radiation therapy, mental health, and more. Our outpatient clinics throughout Western Washington, along with a Mobile Medical Unit for rural areas, ensure that care is accessible for our Veterans.

As a key academic partner of the university, we train over 1,590 health professionals each year across more than 50 disciplines and lead pioneering research in various specialties. Our strong funding and research infrastructure support advancements in hypertension, Alzheimer’s, prosthetics, rehabilitation, mental health, diabetes, cancer, and beyond. Additionally, we are a designated polytrauma network site, providing lifelong care for combat-injured Veterans.

• Competitive Salary: Ranges from $300,000 to $400,000 for qualified board-certified candidates.
