Drafter (AutoCAD and MicroStation)

Start: ASAP

Location: Tempe, AZ – work is ONSITE

Contract Length: 12 months, likely to extend

Shift: 9/80 sched where you have every other FRI off

Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour (depending on experience)

*Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or GC Holder / Perm Resident.*

Candidates must be local for consideration.

Candidates should have strong experience creating and revising drawings – this is NOT an engineering position.

About the Role
As a Drafter at PDS Tech Commercial, you’ll play a critical role in transforming engineering concepts into detailed technical drawings and blueprints. Your work will directly support the development of innovative products and systems across industries, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and excellence in every project.

What You’ll Do

• Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software based on engineering specifications.

• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret design concepts and translate them into precise schematics.

• Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes and improvements.

• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, regulations, and company guidelines.

• Maintain organized documentation and drawing archives for easy access and reference.

• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree or certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.

• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing industries.

• Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

• Knowledge of PLM systems and document control processes.

• CAD knowledge with MicroStation DGN and AutoCAD DWG file extensions

Pay Details: $28.00 to $40.00 per hour
