Maintenance Manager

Maintenance Manager (Open) Greif is a global leader in performance packaging. This role supports our mission of delivering innovative packaging solutions while maintaining operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Possess overall responsibility for the continuous and efficient operation of the maintenance team across facilities. Manage colleagues troubleshooting equipment to prevent downtime that could lead to inefficiencies or catastrophic failures. Review daily productivity reports and conduct visual inspections for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic problems. Develop and implement preventive maintenance and machine‑improvement programs, employing lean manufacturing concepts, techniques, and processes. Procure replacement tools and parts for manufacturing operations as needed. Oversee in‑house design, fabrication, and installation of equipment, and train colleagues on proper use. Implement strategic direction for the maintenance team in alignment with company goals. Ensure safety observances, including mandatory PPE use, functioning guards, and promotion of daily safety practices. Communicate goals and objectives while applying company policy. Staff, train, and coach colleagues to maintain positive relations. Review colleague performance, recommend salary increases, and administer discipline when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Typically a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 8–12 years of relevant experience. Knowledge and Skills Deep knowledge of manufacturing operations and maintenance concepts and practices. Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical/electronic, instrumentation, and computer systems. Experience assembling and disassembling equipment. Excellent troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical problems. Strong project management and planning abilities. Effective problem‑solving skills. Outstanding leadership and team‑management capabilities. Compensation Pay range: $94,400.00 – $160,700.00 annually. New hires typically receive a competitive wage between $105,000.00 and $125,000.00 annually, adjusted for market data, job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The position may also be eligible for a short‑term incentive.
