Production Technician

Production TechnicianThe Production Technician is responsible for picking raw materials, loading machines, and bundling finished goods to support uninterrupted production operations. This role ensures the correct materials are available at the right time, machines are continuously supplied, and finished components are properly secured and staged for outbound movement.Core ResponsibilitiesMaterial Picking & StagingPick materials according to released work orders and stage at designated production locationsVerify material part numbers, quantities, and dimensions using tape measuresMaintain clean and organized staging areasMachine LoadingLoad raw materials into assigned machines, verifying correct orientation and positioningUse tape measures to confirm material accuracySupport machine start-up and changeoversBundling & Finished Goods HandlingBundle and secure processed components per standard workVerify all parts in each bundle by checking them off on the wall segment sticker as materials come out of the machine to ensure accuracy and completenessHandle all finished goods carefully to avoid damageCoordinate transportation and handling needs with leadership and forklift operationsMaintain banding equipment and communicate consumable needs to leadershipAlert leadership of any manufacturing non-conformitiesGeneralPerform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs (two-person lifts required where applicable)Maintain safe material handling practices throughout all tasksDoes Not Own:Inventory system transactions or adjustmentsForklift operationMachine programmingFinal quality disposition or sign-offProduction priorities or sequencingRequired Qualifications:Ability to read part numbers and follow written instructionsBasic math and measurement skillsBasic computer literacyPhysical capability for repetitive and heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs)Attention to detail and commitment to quality handlingAbility to work in a fast-paced production environmentSafety RequirementsWear required PPE at all times (Self-provided: Safety toe boots | Company-provided: High-visibility vest, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection)Use proper lifting techniques or request assistance for heavy or oversized materialsEnsure aisles, picking paths, and staging areas are clear of obstructions, banding, and debrisDo not overload tables or create unstable logistic packsBe aware of sharp edges; handle all steel with cautionDispose of scrap materials in a neat, orderly, and timely mannerCompensation Package · Pay rate (commensurate with experience): $18/hour - $24/hour · Competitive Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance coverages · 401(k) retirement savings programs · PTO program for work-life balance · Employee Reimbursables No visa sponsorship available.
