Your future role at a glance:

• Specialty: Family Medicine
• Schedule: 40 hours per week with 36 patient appointment hours per week
• Call Schedule: 1:5 for after hours call, rotated equally
• Practice Detail: Join 3 very experienced Physicians and an experienced Nurse Practitioner
• EMR System: Athena in our clinic, and Cerner in the hospital
• Facility: Ascension St. Alexius Medical Center
• Location: Hoffman Estates, IL
• Salary: $265,000.00 - $310,000.00 per year

How you'll make an impact in this role

Ascension Illinois is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician for our Family Medicine Department.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Illinois to provide medical services to patients.

Position Highlights:

• See 20+ patients per day
• No inpatient rounding required
• Patient friendly hours, 1 Saturday per month and 1 evening per week (Monday)

Responsibilities:

• Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.
• Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
• Participate in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.
• Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
• Opportunity to participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

What minimum requirements you'll need

• Licensure / Certification / Registration:
• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Education:
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
