Plant Manager

Job Description

ACCU Staffing is hiring an experienced Plant Manager for a full-time, on-site opportunity in Lakewood, NJ. This hands-on leadership position oversees production, maintenance, facility operations, safety, staffing, and continuous improvement within a plastics manufacturing environment. The role works closely with Engineering, Quality Control, and senior management to maintain efficient and safe production operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and support daily Production and Maintenance operations
\n
• Review production and shipping schedules and coordinate staffing needs to maintain continuous operations
\n
• Develop and improve SOPs, production methods, and equipment performance
\n
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and coordinate equipment repairs, maintenance, and installations
\n
• Assist with diagnosing machinery and equipment malfunctions
\n
• Work with Engineering and Quality Control to improve equipment, processes, and overall plant operations
\n
• Identify opportunities to reduce operating costs and improve utilization of labor and materials
\n
• Oversee facility maintenance, OSHA compliance, company safety policies, and workplace organization
\n
• Manage department budgets, operational supplies, and equipment needs
\n
• Supervise Production and Maintenance employees, including hiring, training, work assignments, performance management, and employee relations
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Experience or understanding of plastic extrusion, thermal and sonic welding, injection molding, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
\n
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Automation Direct PLC
\n
• Master's degree or equivalent, or 4–10 years of related experience and/or training , or an equivalent combination of education and experience
\n
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
\n
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and regulations and prepare reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals
\n
• Forklift, PPE, Lockout/Tagout, Fire Safety, and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications, along with a valid driver's license
