Travel Physical Therapist - $2,848 per week

Job Overview Fusion Medical Staffing-Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 14‑week assignment in Jackson, Tennessee. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate and maintain specialized equipment and modalities safely. Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans; document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management strategies. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols. Engage in quality assurance and professional development to stay current with best practices. Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients. Perform additional duties as assigned within scope of practice. Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in Tennessee. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Doctorate degree in physical therapy preferred. New graduates accepted; relevant experience desirable. Additional certifications or licenses may be required. Essential Skills Critical thinking and excellent interpersonal communication. Proficient reading, writing, and speaking in English. Read and comprehend written and verbal instructions; proficient PC skills. Physical and Technical Requirements Ability to remain stationary, move equipment up to 100 lbs, push, pull, and bend. Fine manipulation, push/pull operations during procedures or equipment use. Ability to work under pressure, cope with public contact, and maintain focus under irregular schedules.
