Team Overview

Credit Risk Solutions (CRS) is part of TransUnion's Global Solutions organization and is focused on making trust possible by delivering more accurate and comprehensive information on individuals, businesses, and assets, and their relationships to one another. Within CRS, the Alternative Data Product Management team develops and manages a portfolio of benchmarking, advisory, and data-driven solutions that help financial services organizations better understand customer behavior, assess performance, and make informed business decisions using alternative data and analytics.

Reporting into Product Management leadership within the Alternative Data business, this team partners closely with stakeholders across North America, the United Kingdom, and Australia to identify market needs, shape product strategy, deliver innovative solutions, and drive commercial growth. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview and Core Responsibilities

As a Product Manager, Alternative Data Solutions, you will play a key role in managing and evolving a portfolio of benchmarking, advisory, and data-driven solutions serving financial services organizations around the globe. This role is ideal for a product professional who enjoys solving complex business problems, translating customer needs into actionable product requirements, and collaborating across commercial, analytics, and technology teams to bring solutions to market.

• Support the end-to-end product lifecycle for a portfolio of data and analytics products, from opportunity identification and requirements gathering through launch and ongoing optimization.
• Gather, synthesize, and prioritize Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback to identify product enhancements, new capabilities, and emerging market opportunities.
• Translate business needs and customer challenges into clear product requirements, user stories, business cases, and development priorities for technology and engineering teams.
• Partner with analytics, technology, legal, privacy, compliance, commercial, and product marketing teams to drive product development activities and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Manage product concepts and enhancement initiatives through governance, approval, and development processes while balancing customer value, strategic priorities, and operational considerations.
• Support product launches by developing sales enablement materials, stakeholder communications, training assets, and go-to-market content that drive adoption and commercial success.
• Monitor customer feedback, market trends, competitive activity, product performance, and business outcomes to identify opportunities for product optimization and growth.
• Serve as a trusted product partner across global business teams, helping align stakeholders, facilitate decision making, and improve the effectiveness of product development efforts.
• Contribute to revenue growth by identifying and advancing product initiatives that create measurable value for customers and support business expansion objectives.

Required Knowledge and Experiences

• 8+ years of product management or closely related experience supporting the development, commercialization, enhancement, or management of products, analytics solutions, data products, or consulting offerings.
• Demonstrated experience translating customer needs, market insights, and business objectives into product requirements, development priorities, and actionable roadmaps.
• Strong understanding of product management frameworks and lifecycle disciplines, including requirements gathering, stakeholder management, prioritization, go-to-market planning, and product performance management.
• Proven analytical and business acumen with experience evaluating product performance, developing business cases, and making data-driven recommendations.
• Experience working with data, analytics, benchmarking, financial services, information services, SaaS, or similarly complex business environments where understanding customer use cases and translating them into scalable solutions is critical.
• Bachelor's degree required. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered. MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.

Required Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, business case development, stakeholder communications, and executive-level presentations.
• Ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate customer, market, operational, and product performance data to support product decisions and prioritization.
• Working knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language) to query, validate, and analyze data used for product performance monitoring, business analysis, and decision-making.
• Experience developing product requirements, user stories, process documentation, and stakeholder-facing materials that support product delivery and adoption.
• Ability to work effectively with product management and development tools used to support Agile and product lifecycle processes.

• Experience using Jira and Confluence for requirements management, backlog prioritization, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience supporting customer-driven product innovation through Voice of Customer programs, customer feedback analysis, or market research initiatives.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms used to support commercial and customer-facing processes.
• Experience launching, commercializing, or supporting complex B2B data, analytics, benchmarking, or advisory products across multiple stakeholders and markets.

Pay Scale Information:

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $150,000 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
