Field Service EngineerThe Field Service Engineer provides an advanced level of service and consultation to the customer's applications needs related to water treatment and/or food sanitation. This position performs advanced troubleshooting and optimization, while maintaining best in class quality standards. It also delivers our value proposition to the customer to secure recurring business, customer satisfaction and long-term customer loyalty.Essential Job FunctionsProvide in-depth advice on customer applications for optimal performance resultsPerform consultative support for new installations, equipment calibrations, including remote monitoring and feeding technologyService the mechanical installation and secure performance and reliability of pumps, piping, chemical feed systems, storage tanks and other connected systemsMaintain and develop the relationship with customers and key stakeholders along with the sales account managerDeliver customer technical training as requiredIdentify new business opportunities and transfer sales leads to the sales teamsProvide comprehensive customer service report according to RMC policies using RMC toolsProperly maintain all Company-owned equipment e.g. tools, instruments, safety equipment and vehicleComplete all administrative requirements including basic skills/safety training coursesManage inventory/supplies required at customer siteDeliver upon service KPIs, including safety, productivity, customer satisfactionSecure conditions for safe operations, according to existing RMC & Customer policies, proceduresPerform similar/related duties as neededEducation/Special Licenses or CertificationBachelor's degree in chemistry, engineering, or related field requiredValid driver's licenseExperienceMinimum of 5 years of maintenance, water treatment industry related experience requiredExpert level knowledge of water treatment fundamentals, practices, and terminologySkillsExcellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skillsDeep knowledge base in cooling, boiler, and wastewaterProficient in the use of monitoring and diagnostic toolsAble to build professional customer presentations using MS Office toolsCRM softwareCompetenciesAnalyticalProblem SolvingPlanning, priority setting, and time managementAutonomousAbility to succeed in a fast-paced environmentQuality and detail orientedTeamworkTransparency in communicationPhysical Requirements/Working ConditionsSit or stand for extended periods of timeCapability to move up to 60 lbs. by hand and 300lbs with use of hand truckAbility to climb stairs and laddersVisual acuity necessary to utilize computers and electronic devicesExtra hours and some travel may be required
