About the Position

Primary Care NP/PA – PRN | Houston, TX
Flexible Daytime Shifts | Local PRN Pool | 6-Hour Weekday Coverage

Rhino Medical is building a select pool of Houston-area Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants interested in picking up PRN Primary Care shifts as their schedules allow .

This opportunity is designed for local NPs and PAs who may already have a permanent position but want the flexibility to add occasional daytime coverage without committing to a full-time locum assignment. Once qualified and onboarded, providers can be considered for ongoing PRN coverage needs based on their availability.

Schedule

• PRN / as-needed coverage
• Weekday shifts typically 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
• Approximately 6 hours per weekday shift
• Saturday coverage may also be available
• Saturday clinic hours: 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
• Accept shifts based on your availability
• No full-time commitment required

Primary Care Practice

• Outpatient Primary Care
• Approximately 18–21 patients per day
• Primary Care evaluation and treatment
• Well-woman exams
• Contraceptive care
• Routine outpatient care
• Occasional suturing
• Independent patient management within NP/PA scope of practice
• Paper charting

Clinical Support

• MA support
• Prescriptions prepared by the MA for provider review
• MA translation assistance available when needed

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Appropriate active Texas licensure
• Outpatient Primary Care experience
• Comfortable independently evaluating and treating patients
• Experience performing well-woman exams
• Comfortable providing contraceptive care
• Comfortable with occasional suturing
• Local Houston-area availability
