Truck Driver CDL A Local Home Daily

Position Description Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Bloomfield, CT - offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Pay and Schedule Driver position pay: Weekly Solo miles pay: $0.78 per mile with 1000 miles per week Solo stops pay: $20.66 per stop with 5 stops per week Paid training Schedule: Sunday-Sunday operation with 2 consecutive days off Start time: 1:00 AM - 5:00 AM dispatch window Routes and Equipment Deliver SOLO to: New England Region - CT, NH, VT, RI, ME, MA, PA, NY Route: Local home daily Tractor type: Day cab Trailer type: Reefer, 48' and 58', 28' pups and 26' straight truck Equipment: Manual pallet jack and lift gate (trained by Ryder) Freight: Touch - groceries Benefits Medical, dental & vision after 30 days 80 hours PTO in first year (use or get paid) Uniform, cell phone, and boot allowance provided Drivers make safety decisions - job protected 401(k) rollback available now, company match at 1-year 12 weeks paid maternity leave (eligible criteria) Employee discounts on tools, vehicles, travel, tech & more Requirements Minimum 21 years of age Pass a Ryder drug test Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for last 3 years Pass a DOT physical Pass a Ryder road test Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within past 3 years or 2 years within last 5 years or 5 years within last 10 years Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures Important Note Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
