Bartender – Front of House (FOH)

Hyman’s Seafood is a high-volume Charleston staple known for its lively atmosphere, strong guest following, and consistent service. We are looking for experienced Bartenders who can handle volume, stay organized, and deliver great guest experiences behind the bar.

This role is ideal for someone who is fast, efficient, personable, and confident managing both bar guests and service tickets.

Position Overview

The Bartender is responsible for preparing beverages, maintaining bar operations, and providing excellent service in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages quickly and accurately
• Manage bar guests while handling a high volume of service tickets
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stocking of the bar
• Follow all alcohol safety and compliance standards
• Engage with guests and create a welcoming, energetic environment
• Work closely with servers and kitchen to ensure smooth service flow
• Handle cash and process payments accurately

Required Qualifications

• Prior bartending experience in a high-volume setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, and spirits
• Ability to multitask and work quickly under pressure
• Positive attitude and strong guest-service skills
• Reliable and team-oriented
• Availability to work a rotating schedule, including weekends

Schedule & Work Environment

• Approximately 30 hours per week
• AM shifts are generally 10:00 AM–4:30 PM
• PM shifts are generally 4:00 PM–10:30 PM
• Bartenders rotate between AM and PM shifts, including weekends
• Schedules are posted one month in advance , giving you the ability to plan ahead
• Fast-paced, high-volume bar environment
