Overview Utilizes nursing process and knowledge of scientific principles to provide comprehensive, age appropriate nursing care for assigned behavioral health patients. Responsibilities Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement a comprehensive, age-appropriate plan of care for patient and family which promotes optimal patient outcomes. Meets the educational and informational needs of the patient and family, utilizing appropriate principles of teaching/learning. Promotes safe, efficient, family-centered care. Delegates nursing care based on knowledge of staff qualifications/competency and patient care requirements. Qualifications Associate's Degree ADN Required. Current employees hired before September 1, 2013 are grandfathered and permitted to continue in the direct care nursing role. and No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training Bachelor's Degree Preferred for all nurses hired after September 1, 2013. Nurses hired after this date without a BSN, must complete their degree within 5 years of their hire date.
