Position Overview
A confidential, high-growth entertainment and hospitality brand operating an upscale sports bar and live music venue is seeking a hands-on General Manager for their Virginia Peninsula location. This is a full-accountability GM seat — you own the P&L, the team, the guest experience, and the culture of the venue from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Lead all daily operations of a high-volume sports bar and live music venue
- Own full P&L accountability — revenue, food cost, beverage cost, and labor management
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing FOH and BOH team
- Drive guest satisfaction and maintain elevated service standards across all dayparts
- Manage scheduling, inventory, vendor relationships, and daily financial reporting
- Oversee live event programming, sports viewing experiences, and private event execution
- Serve as the community-facing leader for the brand in the Peninsula market
- Partner with senior leadership on operational strategy, brand standards, and growth initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years GM experience in a high-volume sports bar, entertainment venue, or live music concept
- Full P&L management experience — food cost, beverage cost, labor, budgeting
- Strong bar and beverage operations background required
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and retain large hourly teams
- Hands-on management style — active presence on the floor during service
- Experience with live music, entertainment programming, or event-driven hospitality preferred
- ServSafe certified or equivalent
