Registered Nurse, NICU, Per Diem

POSITION: Registered Nurse

LOCATION: NICU

SCHEDULE: PER DIEM

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver exceptional nursing care in the, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
  
  
• Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
  
  
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
  
  
• Update and manage patient records
  
  
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information
  
  
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMCHS
  
• Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
  

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
  
• Certification in basic life support (BLS)
  
• Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) current certification preferred; required within 90 days of hire
  
• Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) current certification preferred; required within 90 days of hire
  
  
• Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Intermediate or Advance Certification preferred or required within 8 weeks of hire.
  
• 1 year experience NICU required
  
• Experience with electronic health record preferred
  
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
  
  
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
  
  
• Basic computer proficiency.
  
  
• Fluency in another language a plus.
  

Compensation Range:
$39.80- $93.69
This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
