Financial Analyst I

The Fountain Group is hiring a Financial Analyst for a prominent client in Tampa, FL!

Pay Rate: $31.32 - $36.32/hr
Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days onsite (Tampa, FL)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst with strong data analysis and advanced Excel skills to support financial reporting, data management, and business insights. This role will focus on maintaining critical financial data infrastructure, analyzing complex datasets, and supporting reporting processes that drive strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:
• Execute and monitor recurring financial reports to capture financial Actuals and Commitments
• Extract, transform, and analyze financial data from SAP systems
• Convert raw data exports into optimized formats for reporting and analytics
• Manage SharePoint data repositories to support Power BI reporting processes
• Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure reporting accuracy
• Support month-end reconciliations using advanced Excel techniques
• Identify process improvements and streamline financial data workflows
• Maintain accurate financial data flow for leadership and business partners
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support reporting, data integrity, and system alignment

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in corporate finance, financial analysis, or accounting analytics
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data analysis)
• Strong understanding of finance fundamentals including Actuals, Commitments, and reconciliations
• Experience managing and troubleshooting large, complex datasets
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data into business insights

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA
• Experience with Power BI
• Experience with SharePoint, Teams, and other Microsoft tools
