Job Details Maplefields - Redford, NY 12978 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $19.00 - $21.00 hourly Category: Retail Job Description The primary role of the Assistant Manager/Manager in Training is to develop and demonstrate the skills necessary to successfully oversee the operation of a Maplefields Store in the absence of a manager. This individual also assists the Store Manager in day-to-day activities and in the development and training of store sales associates, while ensuring that company standards are met at all times. Coordinate and participate in all functions and duties associated with operating a convenience store, monitor cash drawers, explain overages and shortages, complete financial bookkeeping and paperwork, and provide shift coverage when needed. Create a positive work environment, motivating, encouraging and training store staff. Implement and enforce established daily operating procedures to ensure the store and storefront are clean, well‑stocked, organized, and that company policies are followed. Communicate issues with the appropriate member of upper level management. Ensure all merchandise is stocked, displays are attractive, priced correctly, and displayed safely. Perform price change requests and understand monthly promotions and signage. Implement and enforce Vendor policies and procedures, including invoices scanned on time. Ensure all environmental procedures are followed and staff are trained on spill response, safety and security issues, and reporting procedures. Understand the importance of the reporting process and ensure that incident reports are filled clearly and concisely. Qualifications Ability to work well individually as well as in a team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work with little or no supervision. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Availability Shifts vary by location and are established based on the business needs of the Store. Your manager will work with you to find a schedule that provides the desired hours, whenever possible. Schedules are flexible and should be discussed with your manager.
