Assistant Property Manager

Overview We are seeking an organized and customer-focused Assistant Property Manager for a contract/temporary opportunity in Portland, OR. This role supports day-to-day property operations within a nonprofit housing environment, helping residents, prospective renters, and internal teams receive timely, professional service. The Assistant Property Manager will be a key point of contact for phone calls, emails, voicemails, walk-in visitors, leasing inquiries, and administrative support. Responsibilities Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and voicemails, and provide responsive, professional customer service. Create and track work orders, ensuring maintenance requests are documented accurately and routed appropriately. Greet and assist walk-in prospective renters, residents, vendors, and community members. Support leasing activities, including showing available units and following up with prospective renters. Perform basic office administration, including filing, data entry, scheduling, document preparation, and general property support. Communicate consistently with residents, applicants, and internal team members to support smooth property operations. Compensation and Benefits Pay rate: $28 to $30 per hour.
