Long Term Care IV Pharmacy Technician - 2nd Shift Full Time

Position Summary:

Carries out all medication needs and complies with regulatory compliance standards to maintain ethical conduct and patient confidentiality. Coordinates all assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to support the team's ability to fill patient prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately. Completes product deliveries, pulling and staging of product for distribution, rotation of stock, and coordinates these activities with drivers to ensure shipments are accurate and deliveries are timely.

Day In The Life:

-Facilitates workflow coordination and ensures technical details are followed up in a timely manner.

-Prepares new and refill IV orders under supervision of pharmacists

-Reviews material bins before delivery departure to identify any missed medications, exceptions, or shortages.

-Assists with the workload on the pharmacy floor during down time to provide additional needed support.

-Ensures work environment remains safe and clean in accordance with departmental standards.

-Monitors and reviews all key procedures to ensure full compliance with federal and regional government regulations.

-Benchmarks policies and procedures for the proper non-sterile and sterile product compounding and assembly of clinical products.

-Ensures full technical compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations

Required Qualifications:

• Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law

• One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional Skills/Experience, but not Required:

• Prior experience in the long-term care industry

• Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting

• Five (5) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience

Education

• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$17.00 - $28.46

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
