As AMP continues to grow in Madison and expand our training opportunities in North Vernon, we are looking to add 1-2 coaches to our team.
We are looking for coaches who want more than just a job in a gym. We want individuals who are passionate about coaching, willing to learn the AMP system, and interested in developing professionally as part of a growing performance training organization.
ADULT/ATHLETE PERFORMANCE COACH
Part-Time or Full-Time Opportunity
This position/s has the potential to focus on coaching and developing a range of clients including both adult/athlete performance clients as well as health and wellness programs in partnership with local pediatricians.
The Performance Coach will be responsible for creating and delivering structured AMP training sessions following the AMP Structure, while helping clients improve strength, movement quality, mobility, overall fitness, and long-term physical performance.
Responsibilities include:
- Coach AMP Adult/Athlete performance sessions
- Coach Health and Fitness sessions as a partnership with local pediatricians
- Learn and implement the structure and standards of AMP training sessions
- Understand and coach proper strength-training technique
- Implement mobility and flexibility protocols
- Implement prehab and injury-risk-reduction protocols established by the Head Coach
- Modify and regress exercises appropriately for different ability levels
- Build positive relationships with adult clients
- Maintain a professional, energetic, and supportive training environment
- Communicate client progress and concerns with the Head Coach
- Continue developing professionally within the AMP coaching system
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Sciences, or a related field
- Strong understanding of strength training and human movement
- Coaching or personal training experience preferred
- Relevant professional certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain
This Position is a salaried position and seeks to find a coach who wants to develop and build a true training career. The goal of this position is to bring in a coach who wants to learn systems and progress within AMP.
