Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Shop Lead for our shop, which specializes in the retail sales of steel products. This role requires expertise in fabrication, purchasing, and sales, with a strong focus on customer interaction. The successful candidate will ensure a smooth workflow on the shop floor, meeting all customer specifications.

This is a direct-hire permanent position

1st shift hours

Pay: $50,000-$65,000/year (Can be negotiable based on experience)

Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth flow of operations on the shop floor.
• Read and fulfill custom orders accurately, allocating employees to appropriate positions.
• Oversee a team of fabrication employees and conduct performance evaluations as needed.
• Maintain heavy customer contact to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.

Essential Skills

• Experience in supervision, fabrication, and welding.
• Strong management skills.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and quoting.
• Familiarity with Outlook, Microsoft, and Excel.
• Knowledge of steel products including rebar, plate steel, I-beams, and angle iron.

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
