Site Manager, Educare Early Learning Center

Puget Sound Educational Service District seeks a Site Manager for our Educare Early Learning site to lead fast-paced operational duties at the Head Start and Early Head Start facility. This position is responsible for managing the delivery of comprehensive and multi-disciplinary services, providing operational and educational support, and acting as the licensed center director for the center. Providing excellent customer service to internal and external partners and center visitors is essential in this position. Educare is a research based early learning program implementing best and most promising new practices. Purpose Statement The job of Manager, Site is done for the purpose/s of managing the delivery of high-quality Early Learning Services for children and families by providing leadership, supervision and logistical support for the center and center staff. This job reports to Assigned Administrator Job will remain open until filled so please submit your application on or before the best consideration date of 10/4/2026. Essential Functions Acts in the capacity of center director and/or school director in licensed facilities (e.g., Educare Early Learning Center, etc.) for the purpose of providing site licensing leadership in accordance with Department of Early Learning, Educare Learning Network, and Head Start requirements. Collaborates with PSESD Early Learning staff for the purpose of ensuring that site is integrated into other PSESD programs while maintaining program standards and quality. Collects parent fees as required for childcare services for the purpose of securing reimbursement of costs in accordance with administrative policies and/or ensuring the accuracy and timely completion of transactions. Develops and monitors effective systems for the purpose of assuring the health and safety of the children while in care of the program staff. Maintains manual and electronic documents, files and records for the purpose of ensuring availability of required information and/or documentation. Monitors and evaluates delivery of services (e.g., budgets, deliverables, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring stated outcomes are achieved, relevant policies and procedures are addressed, and services are efficiently provided within budgetary guidelines. Oversees efforts of center staff on all logistics (e.g., plans, budgets, funding requests, reports, analyses, recommendations, procedures, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring services are delivered in conformance with overall objectives. Participates in a variety of meetings as required for the purpose of conveying and gathering information. Prepares written materials (e.g., plans, budgets, funding requests, reports, analyses, recommendations, procedures, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, meeting compliance requirements, making presentations, and/or providing supporting materials for requested actions. Presents information on topics related to administrative responsibilities (e.g., financial information, overviews of programs/services, policies and procedures, etc.) for the purpose of providing general information, training others, implementing actions, etc. Responds to inquiries of staff, district personnel, etc., for the purpose of providing information as may be required. Supervises personnel (e.g., provide coaching and consultation on technical issues, adaptive challenges, personnel matters, strategic opportunities, career goals, professional development, job performance, etc.) for the purpose of advancing the development of effective leaders and high performing teams and achieving agency and departmental objectives. Works with program staff, children and families for the purpose of ensuring the smooth transition of children into and out of the program. Other Functions Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
