Job Summary:
The orthopedic and urology operating room nurse in Santa Rosa, California, will support a busy acute care facility with a focus on orthopedic, urology, general, ENT, ophthalmology, podiatry, and pain management procedures. The role involves providing specialized perioperative care, ensuring patient safety, and assisting with various surgical procedures. Candidates are required to bring their California state license on the first day of assignment.Job Details:
- Location: Santa Rosa, California
- Type of Facility: Acute Care Facility
- Schedule: Variable shifts, primarily 8:30 shifts; minimum hours per week: 40.0
- Required Qualifications: Valid California state license (pending license accepted); BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; 1 year of operating room experience; experience with Epic charting system; ability to work in orthopedic, urology, general, ENT, ophthalmology, podiatry, and pain management procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge nurse experience; familiarity with interpretation services and unit secretary support; experience with Epic charting system.
- Additional Information: Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility. Traveler must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. The facility is a Level I or Level II trauma center with interdisciplinary support available.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in operating room settings.
- Certifications: BLS required.
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Orthopedics, urology, general, ENT, ophthalmology, podiatry, pain management.
- References: Two references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years during the compliance process and prior to start.
- Submission Requirements: SSN, DOB, RTO must be included at the time of submission; copy of certifications; specific charting experience with Epic; references as specified.
