Job Summary

Join our dynamic Total Rewards team as a Manager, Benefits and play a key role in shaping the team member benefits experience. This position is responsible for the design, management, and optimization of health, welfare, and wellbeing programs to ensure they remain competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with company strategies.

The Manager, Benefits oversees the administration, compliance, and communication of health and welfare plans, as well as wellbeing initiatives that support team member wellness and engagement. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to drive continuous improvement, enhance program effectiveness, and deliver an exceptional team member experience through innovative and impactful benefits offerings.

Job Responsibility

• Supports the development and execution of a competitive, cost effective benefits strategy. Collaborates with teams on development of RFPs, analyzes results and implements vendor/plan changes.
• Manages day to day operations of health & welfare, retirement, and/or leave programs. May be cross-trained to serve as primary backup for other benefits functions on the Total Rewards team.
• Oversees carriers and third party administrators, including renewals, billing and performance reviews. Engages with vendors to solve complex benefit issues.
• Plans, communicates, and executes on Open Enrollment activities.
• Ensures adherence to ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, IRS, and DOL requirements.
• Analyzes plan performance and recommends improvements.
• Provides guidance on complex benefits questions and oversees the development and design of complex benefits communications including SPDs, plan documents, employee communications, vendor communications, Open Enrollment, etc.
• Partners with Legal, Total Rewards, HR, Internal Communications, Procurement, Payroll, Finance, IT and various other internal stakeholders as well as vendors and brokers/consultants.
• Other assigned projects, as needed.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachlor degree and at least 2 years of experiance in Benefits administration, policies, practices, and proceduresOR High School/GED and at least 5 years of experiance Benefits administration, policies, practices, and procedures
• At least two (2) years of experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
• At least two (2) years of experience with benefits administration, policies, practices, and procedures.
• Experience with confidentiality requirements associated with the practice of human resources, in general, and benefits, specifically.
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite & Teams.
• Experience with HR Information Systems (i.e. SAP/People Central) and Timekeeping systems (i.e. Kronos).
• Strong knowledge of U.S. benefits regulations.
• Experience managing vendors and large scale benefit programs.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
• Willing to travel up to/at least 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as human resources, business administration, and accounting.
• Master’s degree / MBA.
• At least four (4) years of experience with benefits administration, policies, practices, and procedures.
• Experience with ERISA and other benefits related regulations.
• Experience as an HR generalist.
• CBP Certification as granted by World at Work, or CEBS Certification as granted by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.

Salary Range: $100000 - $$175,000.00 / Salaried
