Customer Support Representative

Job Summary

We are seeking a Customer Support Representative for a direct hire opportunity in Beckley, WV. This role supports a next-generation satellite communications environment focused on delivering high-speed, low-latency internet service to customers in rural, suburban, and underserved areas.

As a Customer Support Representative, you will assist customers with service questions, equipment activation, account updates, and plan options while also identifying opportunities to recommend satellite internet solutions. This is a great opportunity for an entry-level candidate who enjoys helping people, learning technology, and working in a fast-paced call center setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle inbound customer interactions and provide professional support for satellite internet services.
- Assist customers with equipment activation, password resets, service plan management, order requests, and general account questions.
- Educate customers on product features, service availability, speed, reliability, installation details, and hardware options.
- Identify customer needs, recommend appropriate service plans, and support sales conversion goals.
- Accurately process orders, update customer records, and document customer interactions in internal systems.
- Create a positive customer experience by listening actively, showing empathy, and resolving concerns efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $15 to $16 per hour.
- Bonus for meeting/exceeding key metrics $300-$616 monthly

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Provide inbound customer support for satellite internet customers.
- Assist with account updates, equipment activation, service plan management, and order requests.
- Explain internet service options and recommend solutions based on customer needs.
- Meet quality, customer experience, and sales performance goals.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Less than 1 year of experience accepted.
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, call center, or telecommunications is helpful but not required.
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Ability to explain technical information in a simple, customer-friendly way.
- Comfortable using computers, multiple systems, and communication tools.
- Goal-driven mindset with a strong focus on helping customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing program needs.
- Flexibility to work various shifts depending on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous call center, sales, customer support, or telecommunications experience.
- Interest in technology, internet services, connectivity solutions, or consumer tech.
- Ability to balance customer service with sales-focused conversations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and confidence handling customer concerns.
